Curtis Doubet, Founder
Curtis is originally from Parker, CO but now spends the majority of his time in Lodge Grass, MT on his families ranch where they market 300 seedstock bulls annually. Curtis judged at Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University before serving as both assistant and head coach at Colorado State. Curtis was an All-American in 4-H, Junior College, and Senior College where his career was capped off as High Individual at the American Royal. Curtis is the founder of The Judging Experience and coordinates the judging camps across the country.
Cody Doubet is from Parker, CO and grew up raising and showing cattle and hogs. Cody attended Blinn Junior College and Colorado State where he was a member of both judging teams. Cody had an outstanding judging career; being high individual at Denver, San Antonio, and Houston as well as multiple top 5 and top 10 additional finishes. He now serves as the assistant livestock judging coach at Colorado State University. His expertise are sheep and hogs as well as reasons. In addition to serving as assistant coach, Cody works for MERCK Animal Health.
J.t. Gillmore from Westcliffe, CO. J.t. attended Eastern Oklahoma State College and Colorado State University where he was a competitive member of both judging teams. J.t.'s expertise are hogs and reasons and he has an amazing ability to work with young people. J.t. and his family own and operate Gillmore Show Pigs. J.t. has raised champions across the country including the Champion Barrow and Reserve Overall at AKSARBEN, the Grand Champion at the Colorado State Fair, and the Champion Barrow and Reserve Overall at the Montana State Fair.
Ty Bayer from Ringle, WI. Ty and his family own and operate TC Reds and Country Lane Farms. Ty raises and shows some of the most competitive Angus and Red Angus cattle in the industry. He and his family have exhibited the Champion Angus Female at Louisville and Denver, in addition to the Champion Red Angus Female at the Junior National Event, Louisville, and Denver. Ty judged at Lincoln Land Community College and Colorado State University. Ty's expertise is in cattle and reasons. Ty is an integral part of The Judging Experience and has an outstanding livestock mind.
Ben Cooley from Sterling, CO. Ben owns and operates Flatland Showpigs and raises some outstanding hogs capped off by a Reserve Overall finish at the Colorado State Fair. Ben judged at Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University before returning to NJC to serve as the head coach for many years. Ben has a wealth of knowledge across all species but his true loves are hogs and reasons. Ben currently works for Zoetis. He is a role model to youth and a great leader. He services as a Professional Livestock Judge are greatly appreciated.
Seth Ebert is from Jeromesville, Ohio. Seth grew up judging and showing hogs before attending Casper Community College and Colorado State University. Seth is a great example of the relationships and connections that judging can provide for young people as he now serves as the Boar Stud Manager at A Cut Above Showpigs in Nebraska. Seth topped off an amazing judging career winning hogs at the national contest and was also top ten in reasons. To no surprise, his expertise will be hogs and reasons. Even bigger than his ability to raise, feed, and breed hogs however, is his drive to include youth in agriculture.
Mr. Derrick Brown. Derrick lives in Wellington, CO where he owns and operates Masterpiece Genetics. Derrick and his family raise and sell an exceptional set of market wethers every year that compete at every level capped off by winning multiple grand and reserve titles at the Colorado and Wyoming state fairs. Derrick judged at Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University. Derrick is one of the hardest working and most dedicated people I have ever been around. His passion for livestock and livestock judging is only surpassed by his passion for promoting youth involvement in agriculture. Derrick will assist The Judging Experience as an expert in Goats, Sheep, and Reasons. Welcome aboard Derrick!
Though she needs no introduction, Emma is from Longmont, CO where she and her family own and operate Vickland Show Cattle. Emma judged at Redlands Community College and Colorado State and was rarely beaten in cattle or reasons, her areas of expertise. Multiple high individual, high reasons, and high cattle finishes on the judging circuit. Emma has shown some of the best cattle across all breeds. But for as fierce of a competitor as she is, Emma is amazing with young people and loves sharing her wealth of knowledge with everyone.
Bobby is a true stockman, he has an awesome eye for all species. Originally from Virginia, Bobby now lives in Holyoke, CO where he is the Regional Team Sales Lead for ABS Global. Bobby judged at Hutchinson Community College and Colorado State University where he too finished an amazing career at the NAILE with a top ten finish overall. Bobby will serve as an expert in cattle, goats, and reasons.
Shane Bedwell is our next Professional Livestock Judge to introduce. Shane and his family live in Holt, MO where he serves as the COO of the American Hereford Association. Though his judging accolades need little introduction, Shane judged at Butler Community College and Kansas State University before becoming the head coach at Colorado State. Shane has judged shows at every level across the country and is regarded by many as one of the elite cattle evaluators in the country. His expertise will be cattle and reasons. Shane's influence in the cattle industry continues to grow everyday, but he has a much larger impact on the youth he encounters. Shane brings a deep understanding for the benefits and advantages to youth being involved in livestock judging.
Brady Ragland currently lives in San Antonio, Texas and is our next introduction in the line up of Professional Livestock Judges. Brady was a staunch competitor in his years as a livestock judging participant and is one of the few people that has claimed the title of High Individual at the National Contest in 4-H and at the senior college level. Brady judged at Blinn Junior College and Texas Tech University where he was a member of one of the greatest livestock judging teams ever assembled, setting a scoring record in Louisville. Brady is a true professional in everything he does and has since become the Livestock Director for the San Antonio Livestock Show. Brady is an expert in cattle, hogs, and reasons. Welcome Brady!
A man who would not be beat in the reasons room at American Royal and Louisville, Mr. Willie Weis from Stacyville, IA. Willie and his family own Weis Cattle and sell some of the most competitive show heifers across all breeds of anyone in the country. Willie has an outstanding cattle mind and is a silver tongue on the mic. Willie judged at Iowa State University and was one of the most fierce competitors in the 2013 year. He is widely respected as one of the best young cattle minds in the business and we couldn't be more happy to have Willie join our team. His expertise for our camps will be in cattle and reasons.

Krisha also is an instrumental part of the ever competitive Custis Show Pigs based in Rawlins, WY. Krisha is regarded as one of the best collegiate livestock judges ever and represented Butler Community College and Colorado State University. Krisha works for ADM and is one of the most passionate people for youth in agriculture I have ever been around. Krisha's is an expert in cattle, hogs, and reasons.
David Weidauer comes to us from a diverse livestock background raising cattle and sheep in Le Mars, Iowa. David judged at Butler Community College and Colorado State University, being a key member of both teams. David will now be assisting the judging team at Northeastern Junior College. David will serve as an expert in sheep, goats, and reasons. Welcome David!
Big time player to introduce in Bailey Jago of Calhan, Colorado! Bailey grew up raising and showing cattle and goats while judging competitive in the Colorado 4-H circuit. Bailey continued her judging career at NJC and Colorado State earning many individual and team accolades. Bailey is now a Sales Representative for Sullivan Supply. Bailey will serve as an expert in cattle, hogs, and reasons. Pumped for Bailey to be joining our team!
